My name is Raj Purohit. I have a B.Sc. in Chemistry & B. Ed. from Mumbai University (India) with Distinction.
For past 20 years I have been working as an Educationist - coaching, motivating & councelling in the teenage group from Grades 8 to 12. I have taught students from Indian Boards of ICSE, CBSE, SSC, HSC & NOS - Foreign Boards like IGCSE & GCSE.
One of the aspects of my career in Teaching that I have enjoyed the most is helping the students that worked with me learn and develop new skills and increase their knowledge of science and math.
I teach chemistry, Physics & Maths online through Skype video. Online tutoring might not be your first choice, but both myself and the students I work with, find it works surprisingly well and is very convenient. You can “meet” with me wherever your computer / Laptop is, and at any time that is convenient for you (like just when you happen to be stuck doing a problem, for instance, or the night before an exam). The students I work with seem to really appreciate that they don’t have to go anywhere to meet with me and that I am easy to get ahold of. I tutor using a web cam and a white board, and this high-tech/low-tech system means there is no extra fussy software for you to download. You don’t need a web cam either.
